At Fluid Architecture we take great pride and care in the production of our details, after all, they are the components that make the difference between ordinary or great design and construction. The majority of our detail production information especially for construction purposes, we continue to produce 2D details, however, we are increasingly using our 3D capability to clarify construction and material usage for greater analysis and communication of the design intent. This can be the production of sophisticated exploded construction details in 3D, thereby giving us a virtual representation of our design, alerting us and other consultants to any potential build-ability issues. This philosophy is also extended to working on interior designs, where materiality, detail, lighting and layout are key to the success of a functional space.
